Officials Call for Vermont State Senator to Resign
Vermont's Republican Governor is calling for a Republican state senator to resign after a racist chat was published by Politico.
The leaked chats from Telegram include racial slurs and support for Hitler. Vermont State Senator Samuel Douglass was involved in the chat, making comments about an Indian woman and Jewish colleagues.
She just didn’t bathe often.
Additionally, Douglass' wife commented on Jewish colleagues, saying they were
expecting the Jew to be honest...
The leader of the Vermont Public Interest Research Group finds the group chat
sickeningand questions how Douglass can be trusted to serve in office.
