Grand Jury Issues September Indictments
The Aroostook County grand jury handed up 46 indictments for September, including a case involving a high-speed chase through Caribou.
A man, Sean Cloney, 35, was indicted on several charges, including:
- Aggravated operating after revocation (two counts)
- Eluding
- Driving to endanger
- Violating conditions of release
According to reports, Cloney led police on a 4-mile chase through downtown Caribou on June 25, before the chase was stopped due to dangerous driving.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but an indication that there is enough evidence in a case to move forward with a trial.
