New First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
A new First Presidency is expected to be announced at Temple Square at 1 p.m.
The Church's new leadership will be revealed, with the First Presidency being the highest governing body, comprising three apostles including the President and two counselors.
The previous First Presidency was dissolved after President Russell M. Nelson's passing on September 27, 2025, who served as the Church's leader from 2018.
According to tradition, President Dallin H. Oaks is expected to succeed Nelson as the President of the Church, being the senior-most member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
