Pittsburgh International Airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new $1.7 billion terminal.
The ceremony, attended by around 300 guests, including Pennsylvania’s governor Josh Shapiro, marks the start of the countdown towards the new terminal’s public opening, slated for November 2025.
A public trial was already conducted on September 3, 2025, with 300 participants testing the airport’s services and procedures.
A second public trial will take place before the official inauguration.
The new terminal represents a significant change in the way Pittsburgh International Airport operates.
