Bay Area Weather: Flood Advisories in Effect
Rain has returned to the Bay Area, with scattered showers in the North Bay and more rainfall expected across the wider region later in the day.
A strong early season storm is pounding the region with rain, prompting South Bay motorists to exercise caution on Monday.
According to KTVU Meteorologist Roberta Gonzalez, a strong low-pressure system offshore near Oregon and Washington is moving southward, aided by a dip in the polar jet stream, bringing wet weather to California.
- The North Bay, including Sonoma and Napa counties, were the first areas to see rain on Monday.
- Later in the day, the East Bay, Peninsula, and South Bay will experience cloudiness and heavier rain.
