Tehran — Iranian director Sarvenaz Nankali presented a staged reading of Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen’s drama Rosmersholm at Homa Theater Hall on Sunday.
The performance revisited Ibsen’s psychological and political masterpiece, exploring themes of idealism, morality, and personal conflict in a modern Iranian context. Nankali’s interpretation emphasized the timeless tension between social duty and individual freedom.
