F1 drivers score Supercars laps
Formula 1 drivers have been putting in the hours to learn the Supercars circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park.
At the wheel of a Ford Mustang GT, former Formula 1 driver Daniil Kvyat set the pace, with a lap time of 1:28.474.
Speaking about the experience, Kvyat said:
It was a lot of fun, a lot of learning. The car is very different from the Formula 1 car, it's a lot more rear-biased, it's a lot more sensitive to the rear axle.
Ex-F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez was also in action, with a lap time of 1:29.134.
Other F1 drivers participating included Antonio Giovinazzi, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Nicholas Latifi.
They were all in the Ford Mustang GT, which is a very different car from the Formula 1 car.
