Gallagher Appoints David Rush as Independent Non-Executive Director
Gallagher Holdings (UK) Limited, part of the global insurance brokerage, risk management, and consulting group Gallagher, has announced the appointment of David Rush as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
David Rush’s Professional Background
Rush brings nearly 40 years of experience in financial services, mainly gained at Deloitte in Australia and the UK. He held roles as Partner, was a member of Deloitte’s Global Insurance Executive team, and served as Head of EMEA Insurance.
- Led audit engagements for major publicly listed insurance clients
- Advised on mergers and acquisitions, regulatory, accounting, and internal control issues
Additional Roles and Expertise
Beyond his corporate career, Rush has invested in and served on boards of start-ups in health, renewable energy, and recycled resources sectors. He is currently Chairman of WeAre.xyz, an organization creating AI-powered tools for collaborative online archives.
Role at Gallagher and Leadership Transition
At Gallagher, Rush will assume the position of Chair of the Audit Committee, pending regulatory approval. He will succeed Jamie Drummond-Smith, who will resign as Non-Executive Director in February 2026 after 12 years.
