Aghgul Mehdiyeva is a committed advocate for gender equality and climate justice. She earned her bachelor’s degree in State and Public Affairs from Baku State University and channels her education into activism and policy engagement.
As a Youth Ambassador for Women Against Violence Europe, Aghgul works to end violence against women and girls while inspiring youth to take part in transformative social initiatives.
She is also an active member of YOUNGO (the UNFCCC Youth Constituency) within the Women and Gender Working Group and serves as Liaison Officer on Climate Justice at Youth and Environment Europe (YEE). Through these roles, she promotes social fairness and gender inclusion in environmental decision-making.
Her professional background includes internships at the Analysis of International Relations Center, Gender Hub Azerbaijan, and HeForShe Azerbaijan, where she enhanced her skills in research, advocacy, and gender-oriented project planning.
