Apprentice jumps from plane in aid of young people's charity

Apprentice Raises Over £1,000 for Charity with Skydiving Challenge

An accountancy apprentice has successfully raised more than £1,000 for a young people's charity by completing a daring skydive.

15,000ft Tandem Jump for Bridge for Young People

Kristina Pallaiova, an associate at Azets, participated in a tandem skydive from 15,000 feet at Salisbury Skydive Centre located at Old Sarum Airfield. Her jump supported the Berkshire-based charity Bridge for Young People.

Support for Vulnerable Youth

The charity provides homes and critical support to young people aged 16 to 25 who are leaving care or experiencing homelessness. Bridge for Young People operates three homes in West Berkshire, offering stability, emotional care, and practical assistance to its residents, many of whom have faced significant challenges in childhood.

"Although I was nervous beforehand, once the dive started it was an exhilarating experience, especially once the ripcord had been pulled and the parachute opened," Ms Pallaiova said. "The views up there were spectacular as we gently floated back to earth – and it was especially gratifying to know that my generous sponsors would be helping such a worthwhile charity."

Balancing Apprenticeship and Fundraising

Alongside her skydiving efforts, Ms Pallaiova has been pursuing her AAT qualifications at Azets, participating in their apprenticeship programme for 15 months. She currently works in the accounts and business advisory services (ABAS) team based in Newbury.

The total amount she raised reached £1,065, which will contribute directly to the charity's mission of supporting vulnerable youth.

Summary: Kristina Pallaiova combined her apprenticeship with a 15,000ft skydive, raising over £1,000 for Bridge for Young People, a charity aiding vulnerable youth transitioning from care or homelessness.
