Almaz Mirzayeva — EU NEIGHBOURS east
Almaz Mirzayeva is an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship laureate currently pursuing her international master’s degree. She graduated with honours from Baku Engineering University, earning the title “Top Graduate of the Country” for her highest GPA.
Throughout her academic journey, she received multiple distinctions, including the “Future Teacher Scholarship” (2014–2018), a Government “Excellence” scholarship, and a “Gold Medal” for outstanding achievements in general education.
In 2018, Almaz attended an International Summer School in Germany as a DAAD scholar. She now works as an IB Secondary Teacher at TISA, applying innovative teaching approaches in an international setting.

- Trainer and MOOC Leader at the American Councils for International Education
- Contributor to the Education and International Exams departments at the British Council
- Assistant Director of the STEAM Camp organized by the Baku American Centre
Community and Leadership
Since 2019, Almaz has been part of the Young European Ambassadors initiative and, since February 2020, has served on the Board of YEAs in Azerbaijan.
