Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Kerala will start door-to-door voter verification from Tuesday as part of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls.
No documents will be required from residents during the verification phase.
The SIR was officially launched when Governor Rajendra Arlekar handed over the first enumeration form at Raj Bhavan. Despite demands by political parties to postpone the revision due to upcoming local body elections, the process has commenced as planned.

On Kerala Piravi Day, Chief Electoral Officer U Rathan Kelkar received the first enumeration form at Kuttichal, Thiruvananthapuram. The form was filled by Jaya, supervised by BLO B L Sharanya, in the Aruvikkara constituency—this was the first completed form in the state.
All voters listed in the October 7, 2025, electoral roll will receive two enumeration forms from BLOs to update voter information.
