At the opening night of Oasis’s three Melbourne concerts, a fan’s decision to ignite a red flare provoked a furious reaction from co-founder Liam Gallagher, leading to an expletive-filled outburst on social media.
The performance, held at Docklands Stadium and drawing over 50,000 attendees, marked part of the band’s global tour — their first live run after a 16-year break. During the rendition of their classic hit “Champagne Supernova,” the incident occurred, briefly disrupting the energy of the show.
“To the massive C*** who launched that flare into the crowd last night at the gig in Melbourne, you are one seriously f***** up individual and you will get yours, trust me.”
According to venue officials, no injuries were reported. They confirmed that standard security measures — such as bag inspections and metal detector screening — were in place and that vigilance would be increased for the following concert.
Gallagher, well-known for his candid and often fiery online remarks, once again showcased his direct approach to addressing fan misconduct through his social media presence.
