Guernsey’s Alex Scott has been selected for Thomas Tuchel’s England squad ahead of the November World Cup Qualifiers. Since his £25 million move to Bournemouth from Bristol City, Scott has impressed in the Premier League, catching the attention of the England coach.
Scott joins an elite group of Channel Islanders who have represented England in the men's game, including Matt Le Tissier and Graeme Le Saux.
“He had an excellent [Under-21s] Euros, he won the title. Lee [Carsley] was full of praise; he did an excellent job in midfield with Elliot Anderson. He is a regular starter for Bournemouth, who are overperforming constantly, and he is a starter for them.”
