Flinders Port Holdings floats into Christmas Pageant

Flinders Port Holdings Debuts Custom Float at Christmas Pageant

Flinders Port Holdings (FPH) introduced a specially designed float to celebrate maritime trade at the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide. This event emphasizes the crucial role maritime trade plays in delivering festive joy to South Australians.

Christmas Pageant Tradition

The pageant, starting at 9:30am on Saturday 8 November, has been marking the start of the Christmas season in South Australia since 1933. Thousands of people, young and old, gather along the city streets to enjoy the festivities.

About the FPH Float

FPH shared excitement on social media about unveiling their first custom-built float in five years. The float features a replica of one of their Pilot boats along with a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and elves managing Christmas gifts.

“Our float is particularly special—it's the first custom-built float to join the pageant in five years, proudly featuring a replica of one of our Pilot boats, alongside a crew of straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves ticking off Christmas gifts.”

The design includes a blue fabric ruffle at the base, creating the effect of the Pilot Boat moving through water, enhancing the maritime theme.

Official Launch

Earlier this week, FPH officially launched the float at Outer Harbor with participation from their “FPH elves,” adding to the holiday spirit.

“Thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,” FPH said in a social media post.
