Today, Japan faces Morocco in the opening match of Group B at the 2025 FIFA U17 World Cup in Doha, Qatar. The match will be held at Aspire Zone – Pitch 5 stadium with Andrea Colombo from Italy as the referee.
Morocco, coached by Nabil Baha, aims to begin the tournament strongly following their triumph at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year. They come into this game undefeated in their preparation matches, winning 2-0 against Switzerland and 4-3 versus Uzbekistan.
Japan recently defeated Australia 4-0 in preparation for the tournament. Their historical best at the U17 World Cup includes reaching the quarterfinals in both 1993 and 2011.
